Motivation – The Challenges of the Time
A close observation of the World today reveals that a lot of families, communities and countries are ravaged by illiteracy, poverty, hunger, environmental degradation and poor health conditions. Many children are out of school and many schools, especially in the rural places, are poorly funded and can hardly boast of adequate teaching and learning materials. Children and young people have been sighted learning under hazardous dilapidated buildings without the requisite government attention.
Cultural and religious biases in some parts of the World keep the young girls and boys away from school, while in some other areas, many young boys have dropped out of school because of the pressure to go into the labor market to support their families in their financial needs. Such financial burden placed on the young people in their host countries has led so many of them into migration to seemingly better parts of the world in search of better livelihood as this accounts for illegal migration crisis which has posed serious challenge to the world today.
Lastly, a lot of of rural communities in the World suffer chronic diseases due to lack of good source of drinking water. Many of the ancient sources of drinking water have been dried up by harsh and changing climatic conditions or are disease vectors because of their poor hygienic conditions. In some cases people have to travel long distances with heavy loads and other attendant difficulties in other to access good drinking water. Young people are also victims of this lack of good drinking water. They need access to good drinking water to maintain good health so as to focus in their livelihood.
Having observed these difficulties, we resolved to use this organization to reach out to rich and generous donors; individuals and groups to partner with our Non-Governmental Organization named BREAK YOUR BREAD FOR THE LESS PRIVILEGED, to alleviate the challenges faced by young people trapped in such difficult situations through our generous donations.
